Christopher Piper Wines Chateau Marquis De Terme 2010, Margaux
Brand: Christopher Piper Wines
4eme Cru Classe Margaux Chateau Marquis de Terme's grand vin for 2010 has a beautiful rich, deep garnet colour with hints of black and crimson. The nose is elegant and complex with good length, characterized by notes of small black fruit and cherries, underpinned by spicy, roasted aromas, with a hint of vanilla on the finish. On the palate, the wine is generous and full-bodied, with lots of freshness and silky, dense tannins; notes of pepper, tobacco and spices add complexity to the fruit. A very fine, well-balanced, powerful wine that will develop over a long period, with well-preserved notes of blackberries. The subtle length ends with a slightly tart sensation on notes of blackcurrant. Decant at least two hours before serving during the first five years, or keep in the cellar where this wine will continue to evolve for many more years. In January 2009, between the second and the third generations of the Seneclauze family, a new director arrived at the chateau. Since 2009, Ludovic David has introduced, with the support of the owners, far-reaching new policies, with a more international focus. Various projects have been completed at the property : the restoration and furnishing of a new tasting room, renovation of the winery with the installation of new technology, and investment in international communication and press relations.
