This beautiful fine rug is woven using hand spun wools knotted on to a strong cotton foundation. Colours are soft and mellow and have a 'broken' or variegated look to them rather than solid blocks of colour. This means harmonising these types of rugs with existing colours in a room or setting is easier to achieve. Using local wools these rugs are deliberately cut quite tight in the pile thereby giving a crisp definition to the geometric design. However they are nonetheless very hardwearing and so make ideal hallway rugs and are indeed suitable for all applications in the home. This fine example measures 5 feet 6 inches long by 4 feet wide. ( 1.67 x 1.21 metres ).
