Fine 'Vintage' Persian Rug

Delicate slightly muted colours including strawberry red, light and dark blues a little pink and cream. I bought this rug on a recent buying trip to Pakistan and, along with SKU number 1023221, it is one of the best examples of this type of weaving I have ever seen. (Close up photo gives best impression of colours). This fabulous example measures 4.04 m long by 2.99 m wide - 13 feet 3 inches by 9 feet 10 inches. 'Vintage' - Basically a form of rug recycling - an old Persian Rug that is in good sound condition has the remainder of its wool pile reduced/removed and the design is recoloured giving a fabulous aged, muted appearance.
