Fine Afghan Rug

This is another superb rug that I bought on my recent buying trip to Pakistan. A really fine example with wonderful colours and a nice sheen on the wool. As well as handmade, hand-knotted the pile of this rug is also cut by hand. The amount of skilled craftsmanship that goes into weaving - especially these larger carpets, has to be seen to be appreciated. This fine example measures 4.40 metres long by 3.07 metres wide - 14 feet 6 inches long by 10 feet 1 inch wide
