The T/5x subwoofer provides deep bass for home cinema and music systems, matching any soundtrack or song with power, dynamics and attack when necessary, or more subtle effects in quieter passages. The T/5x is a compact sub, with a single down-firing driver. The REL T/5x pairs with stereo speakers extremely well, to add a solid foundation to the speakers’ sonic platform, and is equally ideal for a 5.1 AV system or simply a stereo pair.
Featuring a composite alloy/fibre driver, the T/5x cone blends stiffening alloy with a sonically neutral and lightweight fibre material. The down-firing active 8 inch driver produces maximum coupling for extra bass extension. This creates impactful and dynamic bass that blends effortlessly with your main speakers.
The REL T/5x is powered by a 125W Class A/B amplifier for both high power and efficiency, with a high current supply and low noise toroidal transformers to produce ample power for the driver at all times. With controls including phase switching and crossover level, the T/5x can be fine-tuned to your system easily, for the best performance.
The T/5x cabinet is constructed of thicker walls and improved bracing to better control the speed and impact of the driver. Unwanted resonances are eliminated to produce a clear bass response. Five coats of lacquer give the T/5x sub a piano gloss black or gloss white finish. With the REL Arrow zero compression wireless adapter, the subwoofer can be placed anywhere in the room without the need for cables. Enjoy deep bass with totally flexible positioning.
